We make progress most rapidly when we experiment boldly. That is the essence of our Next Practice work. Root Change designs learning initiatives and conducts original research and analysis for our clients so that they can make their current practices even stronger.

Our Next Practice work is inspired by big questions that never seem to get answers. Recently, we have designed and piloted new diagnostic tools to strengthen local governance, investigated the value chain behind local service provider markets in Less Developed Countries (LDCs), researched and tested tools to speed the growth of organizational networks, studied the power of small grants, and piloted prediction markets for development.

Root Change is constantly experimenting within our own laboratory, working on the development of social franchising models, open innovation, and crowdsourcing applications for development. We make our learning available for the widest community benefit through workshops and publications.
